Description:
The student will toss a balloon in the air, kick the balloon, and then catch it before it touches the ground. This will help the students build foot-eye-coordination, hand-eye-coordination, gross motor skills, and spatial awareness.
Teaching SKILLZ:
EXTRINSIC MOTIVATION – If the student can kick the balloon and catch it successfully three times in a row, the instructor will do three pushups.
Brain SKILLZ:
VISUAL PROCESSING – The student must be able to see the balloon, kick, see where the balloon went, and catch it.
Step 1
Divide your students into lines.
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill:
For each line you will need a balloon.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
You are going to toss the balloon in the air, and then kick it.
Once you kick it, you have to catch it.
You will do this three times.
Your goal is to kick the balloon high enough so that you can catch it before it touches the ground.
