1 Kicking Shield Per Line
1 per Line
The students will practice KICKING by demonstrating multiple alternating front kicks on kicking shield but they will have to constantly chase the instructor so they can kick the pad.
EXTRINSIC MOTIVATION – If the student is able to beat their previous number of kicks on their second turn, the instructor will have five pushups.
ATTENTION CONTROL – The student must be able to kick the target as many times as they can for the full thirty seconds without getting off task.
Divide your students into lines
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill:
Students will stand in a ring with the instructor.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
When the instructor says “GO” the student will have 30 seconds to kick the bag as many times as possible.
But the instructor is allowed to move around the ring.
When the instructor moves the student must chase them and continue kicking.
After 30 seconds the next student can come up and play.
Step 4 – Takeaways:
Knee so you can kick fast.
Keep your eyes open so you can find the pad.
Move fast so you can get the most kicks.
Continue until each student has 2 turns.
