The students will kick the balloon as many times as possible without letting the balloon go out of the ring.
EXTRINSIC MOTIVATION – If the student can hit the balloon more times than they did on the previous turn, the instructor will have three pushups.
VISUAL PROCESSING – The student must be able to see the balloon in the air and estimate when they should kick.
Divide your students into groups.
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill:
For each group, set up a ring that is approximately the same size as a sparring ring.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
Select one person to go first.
You will kick the balloon and try not to let it go out of the ring.
You will keep kicking the balloon using both feet.
Count each kick as you kick the balloon.
If the balloon goes out of the ring, then your turn is over.
Step 4 – Takeaways:
Working the ability to repeatedly kick balloons without letting it drop
Continue until each student has two turns.
