Dynamic Warm-Up – 7 Minutes
  • Arms – Arms-Int. Push-Ups
  • Legs – Legs- Squat Jumps
  • Core – Core- Bridge W/ Shoulder Taps

Mat Chat – 3-minutes (Includes Water Break)
  • Today we are going to work on OBSERVING.
  • OBSERVING refers to how you use your eyes to help figure out and solve problems.
  • This is important, especially in martial arts to be able to see different techniques to help better understand how they work.

Here are the three ways that we are going to improve your OBSERVING today:

1. Having OBSERVING eyes by watching your partner. 2. Using OBSERVING to count kicks. 3. Using OBSERVING to understand basics.
Skill-Building Drills – 15 Minutes

What Was That?:

Students will demonstrate their ability to watch a combo and then tell them the name of each move in the combo.

Watch Me:

Students will work with their partners and watch them do as many front kicks as possible in 15 seconds, at the end the student watching will tell the instructor how many kicks their partner did.
