Dynamic Warm-Up – 7 Minutes

Mat Chat – 3-minutes (Includes Water Break)
  • Today we are going to work on OBSERVING.
  • OBSERVING refers to how you use your eyes to help figure out and solve problems.
  • This is important, especially in martial arts to be able to see different techniques to help better understand how they work.

Here are the three ways that we are going to improve your OBSERVING today:

1. Having OBSERVING eyes by watching your partner. 2. Using OBSERVING to count kicks. 3. Using OBSERVING to understand basics.
Skill-Building Drills – 15 Minutes

Tell Me:

Students will work with an instructor and watch them do a 3-move combination, the student then must then find out what move is missing.

Right or Wrong:

Students will call out moves for their instructor, the student will watch each move and tell the instructor whether it was right or wrong.
