Static Warm-Up – 7 Minutes
  • Arms – Hold Int. Push-Up pos.
  • Legs – Hold Squat pos.
  • Core – Hold Bridge pos.
  • Abs – Hold Dish pos.
Mat Chat – 3-minutes (Includes Water Break)
  • Today we are going to work on AWARENESS.
  • AWARENESS refers to how you can focus on what is happening with or around you
  • This is important, especially in martial arts to demonstrate fast movements and strikes without missing or falling.

Here are the three ways that we are going to improve your AWARENESS today

1. Having AWARENESS eyes by finding your target. 2. Adding to AWARENESS to your kicks. 3. Using AWARENESS to help aim techniques.
Skill-Building Drills – 15 Minutes

Find Me:

Students will start with a blindfold on, their instructor will go find a spot on the mat. The student will have 10 seconds to find their instructor and do 3 kicks.

How Close:

Students will start with their instructor directly in front of them, the instructor will back up and when the student thinks it’s time they will kick. They must kick when the pad is at the correct distance.
