Static Warm-Up – 7 Minutes
  • Arms – Hold Int. Push-Up pos.
  • Legs – Hold Squat pos.
  • Core – Hold Bridge pos.
  • Abs – Hold Dish pos.
Mat Chat – 3-minutes (Includes Water Break)
  • Today we are going to work on AWARENESS.
  • AWARENESS refers to how you can focus on what is happening with or around you
  • This is important, especially in martial arts to demonstrate fast movements and strikes without missing or falling.

Here are the three ways that we are going to improve your AWARENESS today

1. Having AWARENESS eyes by finding your target. 2. Adding to AWARENESS to your blocks. 3. Using AWARENESS to help aim techniques.
Skill-Building Drills – 15 Minutes

Grab the Color:

Student will stand in front of a wavemaster top with 2 blocks, the instructor will call a color and the student must quickly grab the correct block.

High-Middle-Low:

Students will demonstrate multiple blocks on a noodle, while blocking in varying areas.
Skill Stripe Test – 10 Minutes
