Drill: Ultimate Core Exercise: Reverse Crab Walks
Equipment needed: None
Instructors needed: Several to monitor
Description: The students will build their core strength by holding their body off the ground using their palms and their feet, while crab walking down the mat backwards.
Step 1
  • Have your students sit reverse on end of the mat and raise their body off the ground with the palms of their hands and their feet as if they were a table.
Step 2 -Explain the rules:
  • When I say, “go” you will walk down the mat in reverse keeping your bottom off the ground at all times.
  • Try to keep your body parallel to the ground.
  • You will do this going down the mat.
Step 3
  • Race to see who can get to the end first while showing the best technique.
