Skill: PATIENCE
Drill: Circle of Fun
Equipment needed: 1 Kicking pad, 1 Punching Mitt, 1 Noodle
Instructors needed: Multiple to Monitor
Description: The students will practice their PATIENCE by being able to see people having fun but having to wait their turn to have fun.
Step 1
Have the students spread out with their guardians forming a big circle.
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill:
Students will start sitting next to their guardian.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
  • The instructor will send 1 pair in to the circle to pick up either a kicking pad, punching mitt or the noodle.
  • The students must be able to go in the circle and demonstrate the correct activity on each pad.
  • Punching on the mitts, kicking on the pad, and blocking with the noodle.
Step 4 – Takeaways:
  • Make sure you have fun with them while they are in the circle.
  • Help your student wait by sitting with them and talking to them.
  • Make sure your student is waiting to play not running in the game.
Step 5
  • Continue as many times as possible until time is called.
