Teaching SKILLZ:
Step 1
Divide your students into lines
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill:
Place 1 Punching mitt, 1 kicking shield, 1 clapper pad evenly spaced on the mat for each line.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
  • Each pair will decide who is hitting and who is holding.
  • When the instructor says “go” they have to run to the first pad.
  • The holder will count and hold, and the striker will hit the pad 5 times.
  • Then the pair will run to the next pad and repeat this.
  • Once each pad has been hit, they can run back to their line and say “finished Sir/Ma’am”
Step 4 – Takeaways:
  • Remember how to hit and hold each pad so you have a fast time
  • Count loud so the striker knows when to hit.
  • Hit each pad with the proper part of your hand or foot.
Step 5
