Equipment needed:
Wavemaster Top, 2 Rings, 3 Blocks (or square targets) per line
Instructors needed:
1 per line
Description:
The students will work on their AGILITY with their spinning in this drill by making sure they use their core to turn instead of lifting their feet.
Teaching SKILLZ: Healthy Competition
turn the drill into a race to see who can stack their blocks the fastest while still following the rules.
Brain SKILLZ: Visual Processing
students must track the blocks, rings, and pad while spinning to align each block accurately on the Wavemaster.
Step 1
Divide your students into even lines.
Step 2 – Setup the drill
For each line set 3 blocks beside the wavemaster pad. Then set two rings in front of each pad.
Step 3: Explain the Rules
The students must place one foot in each ring.
They must pick up a block, spin without their feet leaving the ring and stack it on the Wavemaster top.
Both hands must stay on the block as they stack it.
The student must stack all 3 blocks without moving their feet from the rings or letting go with either hand. If they do, they must start over.
