Description:
The students will jump in and out of the rings following north, south, east, and west directions to help build their agility.
Teaching SKILLZ: Healthy Competition
motivate students by turning each round into a fun challenge to see who can be the fastest while keeping good form.
Brain SKILLZ: Attention Control
students must stay focused on the instructor’s directions while quickly switching between north, south, east, and west movements.
Step 1
Divide your students into lines
Step 2 – Setup the drill
For each line you will need a small ring.
Step 3: Explain the Rules
When I say “go” you will jump N,S,E,W four times and then have a seat.
The first person to have a seat is the winner.
Step 4 – Directions:
Have the students practice jumping in the following directions:
Jump north (forward) and then back into the ring.
Jump south (backwards) and then back into the ring.
Jump east (right) and then back into the ring.
Jump west (left) and then back into the ring.
Step 5
Continue until each student has at least two turns.
