Teaching SKILLZ: HEALTHY COMPETITION
  • Encouraging students to beat their previous number of squat jumps pushes them to elevate their performance in a fun and motivating way.
Brain SKILLZ: ATTENTION CONTROL
  • Staying balanced on the pad while repeatedly jumping requires the student to maintain concentration and control to avoid falling.
Step 1
  • Divide your students into lines.
Step 2
  • Have the first 2 students lay with heads toward each other.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
  • The first 2 students will grab the small pad with both hands.
  • When the instructor says “GO” the students will roll together down the mat.
  • If the students lose the pad they must start over, they want to roll together all the way to the end. (About 6ft)
Step 4 – Takeaways:
  • Don’t roll to fast or you may lose your partner.
  • Use your eyes to see where to go.
  • Keep your body straight like a pencil.
