Description:
The students will practice ROLLING by demonstrating their pencil roll in a straight line knocking down objects.
Teaching SKILLZ:
TRICKERY – The instructor can say words that sound like “go”, like “gopher” or “go-kart”, in order to keep the students engaged and enhance their auditory processing.
Brain SKILLZ:
VISUAL PROCESSING – The student must be able to roll down in a straight line to the pad to knock it over, despite it being hard to orientate themselves while rolling. This works on their ability to make sense of what they see.
Step 1
Divide your students into lines.
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill:
For each line you will need an instructor.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
You will lay on your belly with the pads in front of you.
When the instructor says “GO”, you will roll towards the pads.
If you stay on a straight line, you will be able to knock the pads over
