Extreme Warm-Up – 7 Minutes
  • Arms -­ Super slides up and down the mat
  • Legs -­ Repeat Round kicks up and down the mat
  • Abs – Shrimps up and down the mat
  • Core – Crab walks up and down the mat
  • Stand-Up stretches

Mat Chat – 3-minutes (Includes Water Break)
  • Today we are going to work on TIMING.
  • TIMING means selecting the best time or speed for doing something in order to achieve the desired or maximum result.
  • It takes great TIMING to be an effective Martial Artist.

Here are the three ways that we are going to improve your TIMING today:

1. Using your TIMING in combinations. 2. Using your TIMING under pressure. 3. Using your TIMING with a partner.
Skill-Building Drills – 30 Minutes

Round Robin:

The students will practice their TIMING by being quick enough to capitalize on a throw and gain side control.

Fast-Slow:

The students will practice having good TIMING getting into their submissions and then safely applying pressure to develop good control.
