Equipment needed:
A Wavemaster top and three blocks for each line
Instructors needed:
Several to monitor
Description:
Students will practice PRECISION by knocking three blocks stacked on top of each other. Each block has to be knocked off individually without knocking anything else down to win.
Teaching SKILLZ: Modeling
have the instructor or a strong student demonstrate how to aim their kick to knock off just one block at a time, then let others try to replicate the same precision.
Brain SKILLZ: Visual Processing
students must carefully judge the height of each block and aim their kick with accuracy to remove one block without disturbing the others.
Step 1
Divide your students into lines
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill
Place the Wavemaster top down and put the three blocks stacked on top of each other on top of the bag top
Step 3 – Explain the Rules
The students will run up one by one up to the bag top
They will perform three round kicks, knocking a block off each time
Once all blocks are knocked, the students will stack the blocks and run back to their line
The first line to finish will get a point for their line
Step 4 – Takeaways
Run fast to get to the bag first
Aim your kicks to ensure you only hit one block at a time
