Description:
The students will practice PUNCHING by trying to strengthen their shoulder muscles by balancing pads on their arms to apply pressure to the arms..
Teaching SKILLZ: INTRINSIC MOTIVATION
  • The instructor will prompt the students after to keep going and to not give up so that they can make their arms as strong as superman.
  • Brain SKILLZ: RESPONSE INHIBITION
  • The students will work on staying focused on balancing their pads on their arms they don’t want to lose focus and just start playing with the pads or being silly!
  • Step 1
  • Have students form lines with their instructor
  • Step 2 – Explain the Rules:
  • The students will stand up and face their instructor and hold their arms straight out in front of them.
  • The students will start by balancing one pad on both of their arms for 5 seconds.
  • Then the instructor will add another pad on to the 1st and the student will balance both for 5 more seconds.
  • They will repeat the process with the 3rd pad and try to balance all 3 pads for 5 seconds.
  • Step 3 – Takeaways:
  • Arms Straight so that the pads don’t fall.
  • Don’t give up if your arms get tired.
  • Try hard so that you can get stronger.
  • Step 4
  • Continue until each student has multiple turns.
