Description:
Students will practice CRAWLING by demonstrating their ability crawl in a straight line after getting dizzy. This will challenge the students physically by requiring them to crawl without falling after getting disoriented.
Teaching SKILLZ:
EXTRINSIC MOTIVATION – If the students do not fall over while crawling, the instructor will do ten pushups.
Brain SKILLZ:
VISUAL PROCESSING – The student must be able to crawl down to the pads despite being dizzy, therefore working on their ability to make sense of the things they see.
Step 1
Divide your students into lines.
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill:
Have the students face the Wavemaster top.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
The 1st student will get into a bear crawl position.
When the instructor says “GO” the student will demonstrate 5 spins while in their bear crawl position.
After they are done spinning they can crawl down to the Wavemaster and they can punch or kick it over.
Once they bear crawl back they can have a seat of the end of the line.
