Description:
The students will practice CRAWLING by demonstrating their army crawl as they are trying to race their friends to be the first person to grab their pad.
Teaching SKILLZ:
HEALTHY COMPETITION – The instructor can award a point to the fastest person, and the student with the most points at the end of the game will win.
Brain SKILLZ:
SPEED OF PROCESSING – The student must hear the instructor say “go”, and then crawl down to the pad at the end of the mat and get their first to get a point. This works on their ability to complete a task quickly and accurately.
Step 1
Divide your students into lines.
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill:
The students will sit in front of the instructor.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
The 1st student in each line will get into their army crawl position.
When the instructor says “GO” the students will all start to crawl towards their pad which is 6’ away.
The 1st student to get their pad will earn a point.
