Skill: DELEGATION
Drill: Cone Grab
Equipment needed: 1 Small cone per line
Instructors needed: Multiple to monitor
Description: The students will practice having good DELEGATION by demonstrating their ability to work with their partners to delegate an exercise to one team or another.
Step 1
Have students divide 2 line on each side of the mat.
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill:
The instructor will want to give the students numbers that will match a student from the opposing team.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
  • When the instructor calls out a number both students will run out to the middle and try and grab the cone.
  • The 1st person to grab the cone will get to give an exercise to the entire opposing team.
  • Continue until everyone has a turn and then mix up the numbers.
Step 4 – Takeaways:
  • Be fast to get to the cone.
  • Be fair don’t pick the hardest exercises.
  • Listen for your number to get called.
Step 5
  • Continue until each student has 2 turns.
