Drill: Partner Stretching: Straddle Stretch
Equipment needed: None
Instructors needed: Several to monitor
Description: The students will practice their PARTNER stretching focusing on their hips and hamstrings by sitting in split position and reaching forward while an instructor gently pushes them farther.
Step 1
  • Divide your students into lines.
Step 2 -Explain the rules:
  • Sit in split position with both feet out to the sides, knees straight.
  • Lean and reach as far forward as you can.
  • The instructor will then apply gently pressure to push you farther forward.
  • Hold for 10 seconds.
Step 3
  • Continue until you have done 2 sets.
