Drill: Ultimate Core Exercise: Swimmer Planks
Equipment needed: None
Instructors needed: A Few to Monitor
Description: The students will build their core strength by holding their body off the ground using their feet and elbows then, work on core strength by maintaining a good plank, while trying to touch their knee to their shoulder (Deltoid).
Step 1
  • Have your students go to plank position.
Step 2 – Explain the Rules:
  • You will maintain a straight core while lifting your knee of the ground.
  • Bring your knee as close to your shoulder (Deltoid) as possible.
  • Then return to plank.
  • Repeat on the opposite side.
Step 3
  • Perform 10-15 per side.
