Skill: Speed
Drill: 1,2,3,4
Equipment needed: 1 kicking shield per line
Instructors needed: 1 per Line
Description: The students will practice SPEED by demonstrating their ability to demonstrate multiple variations of front kicks trying to be the 1st person to do each kick!
Teaching SKILLZ:
HEALTHY COMPETITION – The instructor can give the lines silly team names in order to motivate the students, like “hamburgers vs. hot dogs”. This will motivate the students to play the game with effort in order to score and win for their team.
Brain SKILLZ:
SPEED OF PROCESSING – The student must be able to hear the instructor call out a number, connect the number to the appropriate technique they are supposed to do, and kick the pad correctly before the other students in order to get a point. This works on their ability to complete a task quickly and accurately.

  • The students will get 1 round to review each kick!
  • On round 2 the instructor will call out one of the numbers and the 1st student to hit the pad will earn a point for their line.
  • The team with the most points at the end wins.
Step 4 – Takeaways:
