Class 13 – Explanation

Static Warm-Up – 7 Minutes
  • Arms – Hold Push-Up pos.
  • Legs – Hold Int. Squat pos.
  • Core – Hold Int. Bridge pos.
  • Abs – Hold Int. Dish pos.
Mat Chat – 3-minutes (Includes Water Break)
  • Today we are going to work on EXPLANATION.
  • EXPLANATION refers to how you can clearly and concisely communicate information.
  • This is important in martial arts because it helps us understand moves better when we can explain how they work.

Here are the three ways that we are going to improve your RETENTION today:

1. Have EXPLANATION with our basics. 2. Have EXPLANATION with our spelling. 3. Have EXPLANATION while working fast.
Skill-Building Drills – 15 Minutes

Explain & Destroy:

Students must explain a different basic if they can get all the parts of the move then they will get to destroy the tower.

Spell It:

Students will hop through rings with letters marked in them and must say the word it spells at the end.
