Static Warm-Up – 7 Minutes
  • Arms – Hold Push-Up pos.
  • Legs – Hold Int. Squat pos.
  • Core – Hold Int. Bridge pos.
  • Abs – Hold Int. Dish pos.
Mat Chat – 3-minutes (Includes Water Break)
  • Today we are going to work on EXPLANATION.
  • EXPLANATION refers to how you can clearly and concisely communicate information.
  • This is important in martial arts because it helps us understand moves better when we can explain how they work.

Here are the three ways that we are going to improve your RETENTION today:

1. Have EXPLANATION with our basics. 2. Have EXPLANATION with our teammates. 3. Have EXPLANATION while working fast.
Skill-Building Drills – 15 Minutes

Basics Circle:

Students will work on saying what the person before them did before they can do their own basics.

Rapid Names:

Students will run down and watch the instructor do basics, the student’s must say the name of each move until they get 10.
