Blind Defense:

In this drill the students will build the courage to defend themselves while being attacked by several attackers while blindfolded.
  • Teaching SKILLZ: EXTRINSIC MOTIVATION – If the student does the defense incorrectly, or does the incorrect defense, then the student will have three pushups.
  • Brain SKILLZ: SPEED OF PROCESSING – The student must be able to feel the instructor grab their arm or shoulder, and quickly complete the correct defense.

Students will work on their COURAGE by having to escape from four “bullies”. This will challenge student’s physical stage of development by being able to get out of the ring with four people trying to stop them.
  • Teaching SKILLZ: HEALTHY COMPETITION – The instructor can see which student in their group can get escape the fastest.
