Drill: Handstand Challenge
Equipment needed: None
Instructors needed: Multiple to Monitor
Description: The students will practice having good ENDURANCE by holding their handstands with their partners for 30 seconds.
Step 1
  • Divide your students into partners.  
Step 2 – Explain the Rules:
  • The first partner will go to their handstand while the second partner supports their feet.
  • The student has to hold their handstand fo 30 seconds if they fall then they are out.
  • Once the first partner goes then the second will go.
Step 3 – Takeaways:
  • Stay strong even if it may start to hurt show good endurance by pushing through.
  • Have good technique while you hold your handstand so it will make it easier to hold.
  • Keep breathing you don’t want to hold your breath the whole time you want to have steady breaths.
Step 4
  • Continue until each student has 2-3 turns.
