Ultimate Abs Exercise: Shrimps Down the Mat

Description:
The students will build abdominal strength by sliding down the mat on their backs in reverse using their abdominal muscles.
Step 1
Have your students lay on their backs in reverse on one end of the mat with their knees bent, feet flat on the floor.
Step 2 -Explain the rules:
When I say, “go” you will slide your body, turning it to one side pushing with your feet and pulling your core with your abdominal muscles as you extend your arms towards your feet.
Alternate sides on each slide.
You will do this up and down the mat.
Step 3:
Continue for two rounds.
On the second round, make it a race to see who can make it down the mat and back the fastest.
