Drill: Ultimate Arm Exercise: Advanced Super Slides Down the Mat
Equipment needed: None
Instructors needed: Several to monitor
Description: The students will build arm strength by dragging their body down the mat using their palms.
Step 1
  • Have your students lay on their bellies on one end of the mat with one arm on the ground extended in front of them and feet off the mat.
Step 2 -Explain the rules:
  • When I say, “go” you will drag your body down the mat using only one arm.
  • Keep your feet off the mat at all times.
  • You will do this up and down the mat.
Step 3:
  • Continue for two rounds.
  • On the second round, have them switch arms and also make it a race to see who can make it down the mat and back the fastest.
