Drill: Mountain Hops
Equipment needed: 4 Slammer Pads
Instructors needed: 1 per Line
Description: The students will practice their HOPPING in this drill by being able to hop over different obstacles at different heights.
Teaching SKILLZ:
EXTRINSIC MOTIVATION – If the student falls off of the pads, or they hop incorrectly, then the student has to start over. If the student can finish their turn without falling off or hopping incorrectly, then the instructor will have five pushups
VISUAL PROCESSING – The student must be able to see the slammer pads on the ground, and hop to each pad without falling over. This works on their ability to participate in visual activities, as they must see the pads and judge how high they need to jump to land on each pad, despite the different heights of the pads.
