In this drill the students will practice hopping over an object. This will help them build focus and spatial awareness as they hop over the object. This will also help them build good motor skills in their legs.
Divide your students into lines
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill:
Give the first person in each line a small pad.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
You will place the small pad in front of you and jump over it.
After you jump over it, you will pick it up and place it in front of you and you will jump over it again.
You will continue the steps all the way down the mat.
Once you reach the end of the mat, you will hand your pad to your instructor and do ten punches alternating hands.
Step 4 – Takeaways:
Concentrate on spacing as you jump over targets.
Continue until each student has at least three turns.
