Students will practice HOPPING by demonstrating their ability to hop in a small square without falling over. This will challenge the students physically by requiring them to jump varying distances while still landing strong.
INTRINSIC MOTIVATION – On the second round, the instructor can ask if the students want to be a super ninja, and the instructor can ask them to jump two squares at a time.
WORKING MEMORY – The student must hop in a square and do two kicks. They have to remember to do the kicks every time they hop in a square.
Divide your students into lines.
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill:
Have an agility ladder in front of each line.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
The 1st student will stand up and face the ladder.
On round 1 the students will jump with 2 feet to the first box, they will then do 2 kicks while staying in the box.
They will continue jumping in every square and kicking until they reach the end of the ladder.
On round 2 see if the students can jump 2 squares every time.
