Drill: Dynamic Arm Exercise: 1-Arm Push-Ups
Equipment needed: None
Instructors needed: Several to monitor
Description: The students will build arm strength by lifting their body off the ground with one arm, while keeping their body aligned for five reps with each arm.
Step 1
  • Have your students lay on their bellies with one palm on the ground at their side, right below their shoulders, and the other arm behind their back.
Step 2 -Explain the rules:
  • When I say, “go” you will lift your body off the ground with one arm while keeping your body as perfectly aligned as possible and then lower your body back to the ground.
  • You will do this for five reps on the left, then five reps on the right.
Step 3
  • Walk around and make sure they are maintaining alignment. If they are not, freeze the count until they correct their position.
