  • Today we are going to work on RHYTHM.
  • RHYTHM means a variation marked by the regular recurrence or natural flow of related elements.
  • This is important because we want to be able to have RHYTHM in our combinations so we can deliver them effectively.

Here are the three ways that we are going to improve your RHYTHM today:

1. Using variable RHYTHM with your strikes. 2. Maintaining a constant RHYTHM in your strikes. 3. Have RHYTHM while advancing and retreating.
Skill-Building Drills – 30 Minutes

Doubles:

Practice punching combinations using double punches to create a different punching RHYTHM

Down the Mat:

Work with a simple punching combination so we can develop proper RHYTHM between our punches and footwork moving forward and backwards.
