Dynamic Warm-Up – 7 Minutes
  • Arms – Clap push-ups

  • Today we are going to work on ORIENTATION.
  • ORIENTATION means ones’ position in relation to a specific place or object.
  • This is important because you need to be aware of where our opponents openings are and how to effectively strike them.

Here are the three ways that we are going to improve your ORIENTATION skills today:

1. Showing proper ORIENTATION of your body after performing a technique. 2. Having ORIENTATION to defend the unknown. 3. Having ORIENTATION in your footwork to have proper technique.
Skill-Building Drills – 30 Minutes

Kick Catching:

Practice proper body alignment with a partner as they hold your kick and judge your ORIENTATION..

Watch Out:

Students will work our punching combinations and then have to defend 1 of 4 different strikes.
