Mat Chat – 3-minutes (Includes Water Break)
  • Today we are going to work on REFLEX.
  • REFLEX means to have an involuntary response to a stimulus.
  • This is important because sometimes we have to rely on our body to know what to do especially when under pressure to perform.

Here are the three ways that we are going to improve your REFLEX today:

1. Have REFLEX while in response to a surprise. 2. Have REFLEX with proper technique. 3. Have REFLEX while demonstrating speed in their technique.
Skill-Building Drills – 30 Minutes

Defend w/Kicks:

Work on defending typical strikes using the built in defenses of a body kick.

Final Strike:

Hitting pads with an instructor defending when they strike at you, and returning the same technique back at them.
