Drill: Twisted
Equipment needed: 1 dot or spot per student
Instructors needed: A few to monitor
Description: Students will work on their THINKING by finding different parts of their body, then figuring out how to place that part on their dot/spot.
Step 1
Divide your class with their guardians around the mat.
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill:
Make sure each student has a spot or dot.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
  • Students will listen for their guardian to name a body part.
  • Each student will then figure out & then place that part on their dot.
  • Once the student figures it out, guardians will call another part.
Step 4 – Takeaways:
  • Cheer on the students when they successfully figure it out.
  • Encourage students to go as fast as they can.
  • Be patient as they exercise their problem solving skills.
Step 5
  • Continue for multiple rounds.
