Description:
Students will work on having good TEAMWORK in this drill by working with a partner and be the fastest in the class to pass the ring over their body 3 times in a row.
Teaching SKILLZ:
HEALTHY COMPETITION – The team that gets the ring to go around their group three times without letting go of hands wins. The students, on the second round, can see if they can beat their previous time.
Brain SKILLZ:
SPEED OF PROCESSING – The student must be able to pass the ring over to their other arm without letting go of the group’s hands. This means they will have to figure out a way to get the ring over as quickly as possible, which works on their ability to make correct choices quickly and complete a task accurately.
Step 1
Divide your students into lines
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill:
Have the first 3 students in each line face each other. Place one large ring over one of the students’ arms. Hold hands for balance.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
When the instructor says “go” the first student will pass the ring over their body.
The second and third students in the circle will repeat this as well.
Once it make a full rotation each team will sit and say “Finished Sir/Ma’am”.
On round 2, the ring must go around 3 times!
Step 4 – Takeaways:
Encourage your teammates if they are having a hard time!
