Drill: Pass the Ball
Equipment needed: 2 blocks/1 yellow bar per line
Instructors needed: 1 per Line
Description: The students will practice having good DURABILITY by demonstrating their ability to demonstrate core workouts without losing for or technique. This will challenge them physically as they must engage the correct muscles to successfully move a ball from their hands from their feet and back.
Step 1
Divide your students into lines
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill:
The 1st student in each line will lay down under their bar held by the blocks.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
  • The student will lift their feet 6” and their shoulders 6” into dish position.
  • The students will hold a ball in their hands and will have to bring their shoulder up and their knees in.
  • In the “ball” position the student will put the ball between their feet and then extend back to dish.
  • This process of passing the ball will continue until they get to 10 reps.
Step 4 – Takeaways:
  • Try your best even if it gets tough.
  • Be careful to not drop the ball.
  • Breathe so that you don’t lose energy.
Step 5
  • Continue until each student has 2-3 turns.
