Drill: Static Abs Exercise: Feet out of water
Equipment needed: None
Instructors needed: Several to monitor
Description: The students will build abdominal strength by holding their heels slightly off the ground.
Step 1
  • Have your students lay on their backs with their arms folded.
Step 2 -Explain the rules:
  • When I say, “go” you will raise your heels slightly off the ground as if you are raising your feet out of the water so that the sharks don’t bite your feet.
  • Try to keep your feet together and try not to bend your knees.
  • While you are counting, try not to move your body at all.
Step 3
  • Try to have them raise their feet a little higher, but not passed a 45-degree angle.
