Drill: New Form Challenge
Equipment needed: None
Instructors needed: 1 per Line
Description: The students will practice COMMITMENT by demonstrating their ability to teach and learn a new form. This will challenge the students mentally by requiring them to learn a new for but also if they are the instructor it will test their ability to teach something new.
Step 1
Divide your students into groups.
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill:
For each group, you will need an instructor.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
  • The instructor will choose one student to teach their group a brand new 5-10 move form.
  • The students who are learning the form must show COMMITMENT by trying their best to learn the form even if it’s too easy or even to hard.
  • The student who is leading must not give up and must finish completing the form.
  • The team with the best form at the end of 5 minutes will be the winner.
Step 4 – Takeaways:
  • Have a good voice make sure you are loud and quiet.
  • Look at as many people as you can.
  • Do your best to go slow so you can teach better.
Step 5
  • Continue so that each student has at least 2 turns.
