Drill: Don’t Let it Slide
Equipment needed: None
Instructors needed: Multiple to Monitor
Description: The students will practice having good COMMITMENT by demonstrating their ability to lead a group through exercises but only accepting the best technique. This will challenge the students socially by requiring them to make corrections to their peers in order to help them become better.
Step 1
Divide your students into groups
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill:
One student in the group will get to start as the instructor.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
  • They must choose an exercise for their group and then they will start to lead the exercise.
  • If the instructor can spot someone with bad technique or not trying hard they wont count that rep.
  • Instead they will go make a quick fix to the student and then try that rep over.
  • You can have the students work through 5, 10, or 15 reps.
Step 4 – Takeaways:
  • Be as loud as you can.
  • Give good advice so the students get better.
  • Make sure you are looking for different people to help.
Step 5
  • Continue until each student has 2 turns.
