Equipment needed: Students need their bos; 2 cube blocks/line.
Instructors needed: Several to monitor and coach
Description: The students will increase their FORCE and accuracy by attempting to strike a target farthest in a straight line.
Step 1
  • Divide your class into even lines.  
Step 2 – Explain the Rules:
  • The instructor will stack the 2 blocks one on top of the other.
  • When the instructor says “go” students will use their uppercut strike to hit the top block as far as they can.
  • Only the top block counts..
  • Whoever hits it farthest in a straight line wins a point for their team.
Step 3 – Takeaways:
  • Strike with the tip of the bo.
  • Finish with strong technique and body position.
  • Use your eyes to direct your shot.
Step 4
  • Continue for at least 3 rounds.
