Drill: Spin It
Equipment needed: 1 Clapper Pad
Instructors needed: 1 Per Line
Description: The students will practice having good SHARPNESS by racing to be the first person to demonstrate a swing hook kick at stomach, chest, and head level.
Step 1
  • Put your students into 1 line.  
Step 2 – Explain the Rules:
  • The students will race down to the instructors.
  • When they get there they will demonstrate 3 swing hook kicks at stomach, chest, and head level.
  • First student to make it back gets a point for their team.
Step 3 – Takeaways:
  • Use proper technique so your kick is still powerful no matter how high you are.
  • Use your arms to gain more height on your jump and more speed on your spin.
  • Use your leg to really swing your body through so you can have more power.
Step 4
  • Continue until each student has 2-3 turns.
