Description:
The students create their own combos that include a trick specified by the instructor.
Step 1
- Spread your students out on the mat.
Step 2 – Explain the Rules:
- The instructor will designate a trick to be used in the combination.
- Students will have 2 minutes to come up with a combination that includes the trick.
- At the end of 2 minutes, each student will perform their combos for the rest of their team and instructors.
Step 3 – Takeaways:
- Remember that sometimes less is more; do what you can do confidently, don’t force too much in.
- Be purposeful with your strikes, it should seem like you’re fighting someone!
- Add intensity and make it engaging to watch.
Step 4
- Continue for several rounds, changing the trick each round.
