Drill: Smooth Talk

Instructors needed: Multiple to monitor
Description: The students will practice having good CONFIDENCE by demonstrating their ability to have a clear confident voice when leading a drill or warm-up. This will challenge them socially by putting them in an awkward position and having them rise to the occasion.
Step 1
Divide your students into groups
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill:
The 1st student in the group will go to the front of their team.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
  • They must lead their team through any of the exercises from any program.
  • As they talk if they stumble on their words or mess up then they must start over.
  • Keep going through the team until everyone gets a chance to lead.
Step 4 – Takeaways:
  • Be loud as you lead your team!
  • Be confident with what you say so you look strong.
  • Don’t be silly even though you are working with your friends.
Step 5
  • Continue until each student has 2-3 turns.
