Week 3 – Patience
Warm Up (Routine 3) – 5 Minutes
- Froggies: Take baby hops in the air 10 times.
- Apes: Bend your knees and place your palms on the ground, then alternated tapping your hands to your shoulders 10 times.
- Eagles: Slightly bend your knees and flap your arms to the side 10 times.
- Donkey Kicks: Bend over and place your palms on the ground, then alternate kicking your legs back 10 times.
Mat Chat – 3-minutes (Includes Water Break)
- Today we are going to work on PATIENCE.
- Try not to move while you are waiting.
Here are three PATIENCE tips that I want everyone to practice today:
1. Wait your turn. 2. Follow what they say. 3. Try not to get upset while you wait.Skill-Building Drills – 7 Minutes
Castle Smash:
The students will practice their PATIENCE skills by having to wait from their guardian to tell them it’s ok to knock down the tower.Kick It:
The students will practice having good PATIENCE skills by waiting to see a pad before they can kick it.Hit the Color:
The students will practice their PATIENCE by being able to wait for their guardian to say “GO” before they can go do a task.Circle of Fun:
The students will practice their PATIENCE by being able to see people having fun but having to wait their turn to have fun.Milestone Assessments – 5 Minutes
Practice Milestones.
- 18 – 22 months: Will sit and not move for at least three seconds.
- 22 – 28 months: Will “stop” and “go” while walking on command.
- 28 – months and up: Will “stop” and “go” while walking backwards on command.

- Table: Sit with your legs in front of you and palms on the ground behind you, then lift your tummy in the air while counting to 10.
- Rock-N-Roll: Lie on your back and bring your knees to your chest and rock back and forth.
- Flamingos: Stand while holding one leg in the air and count to 5, then switch legs.
- Alligator: Lie on your belly and push your body up with your hands and feet and count to 10.
