Equipment needed: None
Instructors needed: A few to monitor
Description: The students will improve their PERFORMANCE by quickly demonstrating different yells.
Step 1
  • Spread the students out on the mat across from their partner and assign each a number (Pay Attention-style).  
Step 2 – Explain the Rules:
  • The instructor will call out a number and a letter.
  • The students with the corresponding number must run to the center of the mat and perform a strong yell starting with whatever letter the instructor called out.
  • The first person to have the strongest yell will win a point for their team
  • The team with the most points at the end will be the winner.
Step 3 – Takeaways:
  • Go for it quickly; don’t think too hard about the sounds you make.
  • Put confidence behind your yell.
  • Make sure you do something purposeful with your hands.
Step 4
  • Continue all the way through the alphabet.
