Description:
Students will practice STRENGTH by trying to move quickly to tag a member of a pre selected team. The team will be trying to prevent the runner from tagging their VIP.
Teaching SKILLZ: Healthy Competition
motivate students by turning the challenge into a fun contest to see who can stay the strongest, hold the best control, or complete the task the fastest while keeping proper form.
Brain SKILLZ: Divided Attention
both the tagger and the circle must track multiple moving parts at once: the VIP, the tagger’s movements, and the shifting positions of teammates, all while staying engaged physically.
Step 1
Divide your students into 2 groups.
Step 2
Have the groups form a circle, and select one person to be the tagger. (They stand on the outside)
Step 3 – Explain the Rules
The Circle will have one person the tagger is trying to get.
When the instructor says. ”GO” the tagger will run and try to get their person…
The circle will move around as a team trying to keep their VIP safe.
If the VIP gets tagged then the circle has 5 burpees if the VIP is not tagged the tagger does 5 burpees.
The tagger s will have 20 seconds to take the VIP
A tag can only count if it hits the torso, anywhere else doesn’t count.
Step 4 – Takeaways
Work as a team and communicate so you can move.
Change directions a lot if you’re the tagger.
Don’t give up try your hardest to win.
Step 5
Continue until for 3-4 rotations through the group.
