Equipment needed: 1 block
Instructors needed: 1 per Line
Description: The students will practice having good FITNESS by doing 10 of their best burpee while touching the block on their push-up and then holding the block as they jump.
Teaching SKILLZ:
INTRINSIC MOTIVATION – On the first round, the instructor can say the students can do five burpees, but if they want to get their blackbelt one day, they will do seven burpees. On the second round, the instructor can add on if they want to make their instructors proud, they will do ten burpees. On the third round, the instructor can add on that if they want to make their parents proud, they will do fifteen.
Brain SKILLZ:
RESPONSE INHIBITION – The students must be able to complete their turn, even though it is difficult. This works on their ability to complete a task despite distraction, the distraction being their arms and legs getting tired after a couple reps.

  • They will have to put the block down as they go into the next burpee.
  • Continue until you have done 10 burpees.
Step 4 – Takeaways:
